Greetings from the Netherlands

Hello everyone,

I wish I did my best in high school in German. I did not, so at one point, I actually had the lowest possible grade on my trimester report (a 1) . Anyway, as a result, I have to write in English, I hope that's not too much of a problem.

I do understand German when I read it (most of the time), so you can reply in German if I you so prefer. I'm 39, I've dabbled in the hobby when I was young but picked it up seriously some 15 years ago now.

I build a lot in 1/144 and I generally love the effort Revell puts in this scale. You can see an impression of my current collection here. Also, feel free to check out the rest of my YouTube-channel here although much of my commentary is in Dutch.

I hope to see and learn from your work here mostly. That's all for now,

Regards from the Netherlands,

Ivo

Of course, you are right, I just wanted to give a quick glance. I'd like to show some of my latest work here, the Revell 1/48 RAH-66 Comanche. I chose a hypothetical "what-if" scheme that was applied on A-10's in Alaska in the early 80's because well, I just liked it. The build was without any real problems although the kit is not very accurate in some respects.

Cool! I like this work and the camo scheme very much!

1:48 is actually my preferred scale. I also have the kit here and I might . There I get pleasure to begin the kit... but first of all I have to finish the VASA!

Thank you all for your kind words of welcome. To give a further impression of what I've built thus far, see below.

The armor and the Huey are from 2005, when I did not airbrush yet or paid particular attention to weathering. My current favourite is the 1/144 Polish C-130E in centennial markings. It's not a Revell, but still a great kit. The He-111 is from Minicraft, the F-4J is Doyusha. All the small aircraft are 1/144 except the 1/72 OH-58D and the Dutch Police AH-64, which is 1/100 and was meant as a bit of a gimmick. I ordered the decals from Peddinghaus in 1/72 but the EC-135 was a disaster. :x

Enjoy.

The C130 looks very nice
There you have a fine mix of model kits. Do you build road stuff too?
